La Fortuna Hostels

This little town, only about five miles from the volcano itself, has plenty of Costa Rica hostels and cheap Costa Rica hotels and is easily reached by road.

When looking for hotels, Costa Rica has one for every budget and taste.

Many folks rent a car when they travel Costa Rica but there are lots of good, comfortable, and very inexpensive express buses from San Jose. Click for Costa Rica bus schedules.

You can buy a bus ticket at the bus terminal for about $6.00.
