COCO BEACH COSTA RICA

In a hurry to get to some of the very best Costa Rica beaches?

Got 20 minutes? Coco beach Costa Rica and nearby playas are for you!

On the north Gold Coast of Costa Rica you'll have beach-after-beach from which to choose on your Costa Rica vacation, just minutes after you land!

Perfect Costa Rica playas.

Did I mention that the Playas del Coco are 17--count ‘em!-- Costa Rica beaches on the enormous horseshoe-shaped Bahia Culebra (Snake Bay)?

Waiting to be enjoyed.

When you travel to Costa Rica simply fly into Daniel Oduber (sometimes called Liberia) International Airport, drive your rental car in Costa Rica or take a bus or taxi and 20 minutes later, Voila! (or Pura Vida! if you prefer Spanish).

I recommend 16 of these beaches for your Costa Rica vacation.

For now, though, avoid swimming directly off the beach at Coco Beach Costa Rica(the name of one of these 16 beaches along the Playas del Cocos [beaches, collectively]) because of recent water contamination.

The problem is very localized. Simply take a short walk and swim at a nearby beach.

Aside from one Costa Rica playa (Playa del Coco) several of Costa Rica’s most pristine beaches are here, just minutes from the Liberia International Airport.

Mile-after-mile of spectacular Pacific beaches on the northwest coast of Costa Rica, some very popular with Ticos (and beautiful Ticas!), others virtually deserted.

Award winning Costa Rica Blue Flag beaches.

Lots of pristine Costa Rica beaches. Anything else?

Oh, yea, some of the world’s best surfing on the beaches close by.

I'm not kidding.

World famous Costa Rica surfing beaches.

And girls (did I mention girls earlier?).

“OK, OK”, you say. “But is that all?”

Well, I must say that you are spoiled.

Even so, the answer is No.

Scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming. Always in great weather.

Sailing, catamaraning, and deep sea fishing (and you actually catch big fish here). Sometimes with whales or porpoises.

Sailboarding, windsurfing, canoeing, jetskiing.

And, of course, all the usual things you do at home. . . except you can do them here in winter.

Things like golfing and tennis. Yea, the usual things but within sight of three volcanoes.

Bet you can’t do that at home!

But you can while on a Costa Rica vacation.

Or, you might like to take a horseback ride along miles and miles of virtually deserted beaches around Coco Beach Costa Rica, azur water on one side, splendid verdant palms and forest along the other.

Like to hike or tour by cycle and explore extraordinarily beautiful parks with parrots, macaws, monkeys, and other critters? Maybe visit some waterfalls? Imagine going home with pictures of you zipping along high in the jungle canopy.

Anything else? Hmmm. . .

if you like a busy nightlife, there are casinos, discos and good restaurants in the little communities along the beach

or

if you prefer a quiet , romantic evening, it’s here, too.

Now look. Take some good, neighborly advice: RENT A CAR!

Sure, you can go anywhere in Costa Rica by bus (really, really cheap buses), taxis are everywhere, and there are more tour operators than stars in the sky but, for goodness sake, this is YOUR ADVENTURE. Rent a car (and if you want to get off the beaten path, make sure it’s a four-wheel drive) and travel Costa Rica!

And remember---the password for fun on this Costa Rica vacation is Pura Vida!
